Licenses

Any reproduction of a press cutting may require a licence from the Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) or the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). This includes photocopying and scanning of any material provided by IPCB, unless you have a prior written permission from the relevant publication. If you require an online monitoring service to include blogs and social media, you will need both an NLA and a CLA web extension licence.

Our licenses cover the delivery of digital clips to one personal email address where the cuttings can be viewed only. Should you wish to print the PDF, copy or upload cuttings, you will require the relevant digital licenses from the NLA and/or the CLA.

If multiple users within an organisation access the IPCB portal, then each user has to be licenced separately.

All links to press cuttings normally remain live for either 28 days (NLA) or 30 days (CLA). It is possible to get an extended licence from the NLA where the eClips content remains live for 12 months.

No press cutting should be put on a website without either prior written permission from the publisher or the relevant NLA/CLA licence.

For more general information on licences please read the information booklet provided by the NLA.
